Christmas Sewing at the Women's Honor Farm
December 23rd, 2015
As 2015 races to a close, we are reminded of and grateful for the many key players that make our wheels turn. Senior Correctional Deputy Piotrowski and Correctional Deputy Calvert are the cogs of the Sewing Program at the Women’s Honor Farm. Their creativity and know-how guide our women in custody to create, recycle, and inspire projects that always go back into our community in some way. From the annual afghan donation to a local nonprofit and teddy bear donation to Get on the Bus, to making snowmen out of extra socks, Christmas tree ornaments and incredible aprons to celebrate the administration staff at the jail--these two deputies sew deep seeds of hope and generosity among honor farmers and volunteers alike. Thank you both for all that you do, day in and day out!
